What is retirement?
Retirement is an honorable option available to members of the Robloxian Armed Forces who no longer wish to actively serve but do not want to permanently leave the organization.
Rather than resigning entirely, retiring allows members to step away from active duty while remaining a respected part of the RAF community. It is intended for personnel who have become less active, no longer have time to participate because of school, work, or personal commitments, or have simply chosen to conclude regular service.
Retirement recognizes the service and dedication a member has given to RAF and provides a way to conclude active service with dignity and respect. Retired members remain valued members of the community and may stay connected after their active service has ended.
Retirement Requirements
Retirement is an honorable privilege. Personnel must meet the following requirements before a request may be approved.
Rank Requirement
The member must hold the rank of Sergeant (SGT) or higher.
Divisional Approval
Sergeants through Captains must receive approval from their divisional Chain of Command before a retirement request will be considered.
Senior Officer Review
Majors and above may submit a retirement request without divisional approval, subject to final review by High Command.
Clear Legal Standing
Members must have no pending disciplinary actions or active court cases at the time of submission.
Good Standing
Members must leave RAF in good standing and demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and adherence to RAF standards throughout their service.
From Active Service to Retired Status
Review Eligibility
Confirm that rank, approval, conduct, and legal requirements have been satisfied.
Submit Request
Complete the official retirement request form with accurate information regarding your service.
Command Review
The request is reviewed by the appropriate Chain of Command and High Command personnel.
Honorable Retirement
Once approved, the member receives an Honorable Discharge and enters official Retired Status.
Funeral Arrangements
To honor the service and legacy of retired members, the Robloxian Armed Forces may conduct an in-game military funeral ceremony following an approved retirement.
Funeral ceremonies are a symbolic tradition intended to recognize a member’s contributions to RAF and provide fellow members with an opportunity to pay their respects.
Personalized Memorial
During the ceremony, retired personnel may be recognized with a personalized memorial reflecting their RAF service.
Memorial Ornaments
Memorial ornaments may be assigned by High Command after reviewing the member’s service record, leadership, conduct, and lasting impact.
Rock
Represents a member who was generally not well-liked or who left a negative legacy within the organization. The ornament preserves a historical representation of their reputation.
Flower Vase
Awarded to members who were widely respected, well-liked, and remembered positively by their peers.
Small Flag
Represents personnel who made a lasting contribution to RAF through exceptional leadership, innovation, service, or historical significance.
Sword
Reserved exclusively for members who attained the rank of General (Four-Star General), recognizing distinguished service at the highest level of military leadership.
